About Me

Being born on October the 27th 1988, I am a true child of the internet generation. I grew up in a crowded house in Herentals (Belgium) with my two elder sisters, where my father owned a computer store. Naturally, the computer grew on me quickly and I discovered the wonders of the world wide web at a young age.
Around the age of twelve I created my first own website, using plenty of flashy backgrounds and animated gifs. (Those were just the coolest back then!) I had learned how to use Frontpage and PaintShopPro by myself. At that time I was also an active member in a Harry Potter roleplaying community. It was my first experience in an internet community, where I made friends from all over the world. I loved to create graphics for my internet friends, such as banners and avatars.
In 2000 I started my secondary education in Modern Languages. I continued to design and create graphics for school assignments or events and personal use. I loved studying languages all those years (and I still do), but I realized I wanted to be creative in my future studies.
So in 2006 I went to study Communication & Multimedia Design at the Media & Design Academy in Genk. That’s where I learned the tricks of the trade: how to design and conceptualize all sorts of communication, from digital to print. In 2009 I interned as a Junior Project Manager at These Days, a marketing agency in Antwerp specialized in interactive media. In 2010 I graduated as a Master in the Audiovisual Arts. Today I still have a passion for graphic design and I would love to be able to make it my profession.
